Najet:

Hello, hi this is Najet from Hannah London I'm the assistant manager and this is Lauren the Operation Manager. Today's topic is going to be the WOW Facial and let's start.

Lauren:

Perfect so yeah we're going to be talking today about WOW Facial versus HydraFacial. What are the differences and all the questions that you guys have been asking.

Najet:

So what is the WOW Facial?

Lauren:

So the WOW Facial is quite a new treatment and it helps to treat lots of different things. What's really special about it is it's completely bespoked depending on your clients needs. So it's six steps that includes cleansing prepping, a peel and we have a range of different peels to treat different things such as hyperpigmentation, acne also anti-ageing, brightening, clarifying, scarring, so many different things. We then move on to some Mesotherapy with 24 karat gold needles and we use a cocktail of different vitamins, hyaluronic acid. Solutions to treat pigmentation, solutions to treat scarring, anti aging and then we move on to led light therapy. We can choose between red and blue. Then one of the main steps is the WOW sheet mask which has stem cells inside and this is really good for calming the skin, rejuvenating, boosting collagen production and then protect which is the final steps of aftercare products and sunscreens.

Najet:

Wow That sounds quite a lot within the one treatment. What about the HydraFacial What is the HydraFacial?

Lauren:

So this is another six step treatment. We work with the lymphatic drainage to help to deep cleanse. We then move on to lifting away all the dead skin cells so that all the products that we're going to use penetrate deeply and that step is called deep cleanse. We then use a mild peel. And depending on what we're treating we will select the right peel for the skin and type And depending on how many treatments the client has had we might increase the percentages. And after we've done the peel what that's going to do is it's going to help to also brighten break down dead skin cells but also soften what we're going to be extracting in the next step. So the next step is going to be your extraction but it's done with a machine so it's not uncomfortable it's not painful. And we can actually see the black heads being removed from the pores. We focus usually in two areas of the face depending on whether that's the nose and chin maybe the cheekbones where you might be using bronzer or the forehead depending on what somebody needs.

Najet:

Wow that sounds amazing. So to sum it up what are the main steps of the WOW Facial and the HydraFacial?

Lauren:

So the main steps in both they both include a chemical peel but the one in the WOW Facial is a lot more intense, I would say in terms it's more results driven the chemical peel within the HydraFacial is important but it's not as strong. Also there is needling within the WOW Facial. There's no needling within the HydraFacial and this is going to help to treat scarring maybe also to allow products to penetrate more deeply and we're going to be using very sterile hyaluronic acid to needle that into the skin with the HydraFacial there is very little downtime. With the WOW Facial you can have a bit more downtime but we can recommend both of these. We can also customize WOW Facial to make it medical, and what that means is one of our medical professionals can actually use Botox inside the WOW Facial to treat consent such as rosacea blushing and also refining the appearance of pores.

Najet:

Do any of those facials whether the WOW Facial or the HydraFacial have any side effects?

Lauren:

None of them have side effects but what I would say is that some of them have some what we call social downtime. So you may get flaking, shedding, you also might notice that areas become dryer and you might not be able to wear makeup for the first 48 hours but side effects not necessarily. However we do a detailed consultation to ensure you don't have any allergies to any of the ingredients included or that you don't have any medical conditions that might make you contra-indicated for having this service. But no real side effects.

Najet:

Is the HydraFacial and the WOW Facial good for any skin type to have?

Lauren:

Yes because they're both customizable. We can make sure that it's suitable for all skin types, all skin colors, suitable for everyone over the age of 18.

Najet:

Okay And which one would you say or recommend would be better for dry sensitive skin

Lauren:

So I think both are good for dry and sensitive skin We have skin boosters within the HydraFacial that can treat concerns such as rosacea We're also going to be lifting away dead skin cells to allow hydrating ingredients to penetrate more deeply and also allow your home care to penetrate more deeply Whereas also with a WOW facial if we're going to be treating a dry skin type and we're going to be using a hydrating mask we're going to be using red led light to help to calm the skin because they're customizable There is no reason why anybody couldn't enjoy it either of these treatments

Najet:

Okay and if you were to treat acne would you have a HydraFacial or WOW Facial?

Lauren:

So depending on the grade of the acne I would say a higher grade we might customize it so that we might start with a WOW Facial using one of the clarifying peels and the salicylic wash to help to drive everything out, because they are completely customizable. If we don't feel that their skin is at the step where they want to be having needing yet or they want to have so much extraction because it's already quite inflamed we can do some of the other steps and customize that for the patient But we would advise whether they're grade one grade two grade three or grade four if they're a severe grade three to four, we wouldn't be treating them with either of the treatments. We'd be recommending them to have a consultation with our doctor and maybe putting them on topicals first to allow the skin to calm down before we move on to either of them.

Najet:

I can see for both treatments that can be customizable to be bespoke to the client's needs Yes Okay And would that be the same for anti-aging?

Lauren:

Yes So with the for example the HydraFacial we can work through using the different peels and both of them are glycollic acid-based which is fantastic for anti-aging concerns. But also we have a specific age Mesotherapy solution that we can needle into the skin to treat anti-ageing And we're also working with hyaluronic acid which is going to draw hydration into the skin .So both of them could be really great. Okay I see, what about hyperpigmentation. Which would you recommend? So I would say wow facial is more intense in terms of some of the active ingredients may treat hyperpigmentation faster. Okay. Because we have one specifically that is designed to break down pigmentation. We also have a booster called Brightalive within HydraFacial. They both have actives. It just depends on your patient. You have to assess what your patient is comfortable with, what they're used to having on their skin? Are they ready to have a needling treatment? Are they a bit nervous? Do you want to start them off with a HydraFacial and then build them up once they trust that you know how to work with their skin.

Najet:

So if you were a client who is interested in either the HydraFacial or the WOW Facial how often would you recommend for those two to be booked?

Lauren:

So I would say but with our WOW MD the one with Botox you can only have that every three months. You wouldn't want to treat it with Botox any more than that but we can absolutely do a WOW Facial without Botox every month. And you might want to do three. What we could also do which would supercharge any results is you can rotate. So one month you come in for your HydraFacial the next month you come in for your WOW. The next month you come in for your Hydrafacial and they help to see the challenge each other.

Najet:

That makes sense do any of them hurt?

Lauren:

Do any of them hurt? Good question. So I've had both treatments and what I would say is with the WOW Facial it is a little bit more uncomfortable than the HydraFacial but neither of them are very painful. It's manageable. We have therapists that have a wonderful touch and I would say only during the needling step but because we only do one pass you go over that area only once It's pretty manageable. Once you've left that area we put you under the LED lights, we put on the hydrating sheet mask. You won't even remember the discomfort that you felt.

Najet:

So how long does each treatment last?

Lauren:

60 minutes is the treatment time for both of those.

Najet:

Okay and you would say the effect of the treatment. How long would you see that glow and the results from the actual treatments?

Lauren:

So I would say you're going to see for example with the WOW Facial the results are going to continue to improve over that month. You're going to see that maybe breakouts have dried out brightness is starting to occur in the skin as a skin cells do shed and that might be invisible shedding and it continues to get better. And if you're using the right home care products you're going to continue to boost those results with the HydraFacial for myself You look fantastic on the day I find I get a little bit of dehydration for the next couple of days and I would say on day seven you see the true result of the treatment your skin is looking radiant and that lasts you a couple of weeks at least

Najet:

Perfect, thank you for explaining all of that for us thank you for your time guys and see you next time.
